Hours: The Hall of Fame is open Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday during events only. The hall is closed on City holidays.
The Florida Sports Hall of Fame recognizes and honors Florida’s greatest sports figures and events, and leverages this collective celebrity to promote fitness awareness, education and sports activities among our state’s youth and adults. Equally important is the promotion of the qualities of discipline and honor among sports participants, celebrating athleticism and sportsmanship.
Established in 1961 by the Florida Sports Writers Association and Florida Sportscasters Association, the Hall of Fame was created to pay tribute to the most illustrious names in sports history with strong ties to Florida. After 60 remarkable years, we proudly call the MIDFLORIDA Event Center home.
The attraction includes more than 60 memorabilia exhibits from some of Florida’s most well-known sports stars, including legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus; Coach Bobby Bowden; National Hot Rod Association legend “Big Daddy” Don Garlits; golfer Andy Bean; tennis great Chris Evert; football legend Bob Griese and many more.
Special memorabilia from individuals and teams includes photos, videos, uniforms, apparel, sports equipment, trophies and more!
